Athy Farmers Market

Every Sunday starting from 13th February 2005 in Emily Square, Athy

Following two successful markets held before Christmas the next Athy Farmers Market and Craft Fair , located on Emily Square in Athy Town centre, will take place on Sunday the 13 th February 2005 . The market, which will be held every Sunday from 10am to 3pm , hosts a range of Irish and locally grown produce and crafts. Stall Holders who are interested in participating in this market please contact Bernadette McHugh at 086 9191680 for further information.

2 Saints Business Programme

To mark St David's day and St Patrick day, the RAR Project have initiated the 2 Saints Business Programme. For this ambitious event a series of business focused activities have been organised and will take place in Rhyl (North Wales) between 1st and 3rd March and in Athy between 14th and 16th March.

We are looking for progressive small and medium sized businesses from Athy and its surrounding areas to join us.

Your business must be:
> seeking to build trade links with the UK and in particular North Wales,
> or are already trading with this region and wish to develop this further and,
> are prepared to participate in two one day trade shows (1 in Athy, 1 in Rhyl)

Athy Design Group Exhibition & Sale

From 10th - 21st August

In Athy Community Library, Emily Square, Athy

Athy Design Group will hold their first exhibition and sale, titled 'Gathering Momentum' which will take place from the 10th until the 21st of August 2004 in Athy Community Library. The exhibition will demonstrate a fusion of design talent which includes wood turning, knitwear, glassware, pewter, fine art and furniture.

Gerard Manley Hopkins

Tuesday 27th July at 9pm, Athy Community Library

The Gerard Manley Hopkins Society presents an international Poetry
reading at Athy community library on tuesday 27th July at 9pm. Readers will include: Jacek Kozic (Poland), Leonardo Clerici (Italy), Annabel Despard (Norway), Kevin McEneaney (USA), Cecile Oumhani (Tunisia), John O'Donnell (Ireland), Desmond Egan reading Hopkins' poetry. Admission is free and all are welcome

Athy Craft Association Open Day

From 10am - 1pm, Saturday 24th April

In Athy Training & Enterprise Centre, Woodstock St, Athy
