Local and Cross Border Networking

Aims

The development of networking is a vital element of the programme and will aim to:

1. offer support to existing businesses;
2. encourage entrepreneurial spirit;
3. seek inclusion of minority groups;
4. provide a platform for the possibility of joint ventures;
5. encourage shared knowledge;
6. identify relevant training needs and
7. elicit honest feedback.

In order to fulfil these aims the following strategy has been developed:

1. Identification of relevant target groups
2. Recruiting of Businesses for support and start up programmes
3. Holding of a Showcase Exhibition
4. Organising Businesses in Athy into Thematic Networks for local and Cross Border Networks
5. Developing and regularly updating the project Web Site
